中國人大都不喜歡要交月費的Condominium，為何我們最終還是決定買呢？主要是因為兩個理性的決策︰
- 地點與價錢
老婆與我都是反對長距離通勤的人，生命遠比金錢重要，通勤一方面浪費生命，一方面在下大雪的北方冬夜，我們不是從小開慣雪地的人還真是玩命。所以我們決定住所至少得離一個人的公司近。
離公司近，我們又喜歡的老社區裡，沒有我們負擔得起的獨立屋，所以就專注於Townhouse。因為是老社區，沒有Freehold townhouse，我們買Condo的原因之一在此。
- 怕麻煩
我不像一些老外，動手能力特強，從小就看著爸爸動刀運鏟搬磚上漆，我對動手能力的定義，是去街頭巷角找那個很能幹的水電工或木工。
住condo townhouse至少保證了室內以外的所有維修都有人管，這點尤其令人安心，畢竟我們住的是三四十年老房子。
前幾天管理公司協同屋頂工人來看了我們的屋頂，起因是暖氣鍋爐的煙囪與房頂交會處漏水，水順著煙囪往下流，一滴滴的濺在我們的熱水鍋爐上。
我的責任就是告知，剩下的就歸公司管，底下是我們發給公司的傳真信，或許對某些也住Condo的人有用？

During the last couple heavy rains, we have found the following damage that needs to be repaired ASAP:
- Roof furnace ventilation leakage: The conjunction between the roof and the furnace ventilation duct has leakage and water leaks through the ventilation duct from the roof all the way to the basement.
- Eavesdrop detachment: Eavesdrop on the north side of the house (backyard) is no longer attached to the roof and water pours down on the wall surface directly.
We appreciate your prompt repair to the above two matters as water will damage the house quickly. Please let us know when they are going to be attended.
